Good news: my doctor finally got his act together and sent the letter to the insurance company asking for an exception to be made for Gonal F. The insurance company finally got its act together and replied (This is all after five months of red tape and falling through the cracks in the system - I really felt abandoned) The final answer is yes.... the drugs will be covered. The doctor has prescribed them for 3 months. Yay.
Bad news: This is my last shot at having my own baby. There are no other treatments that will work for me. This is it. The next step would be donor eggs, but I can't imagine being able to come up with the cash ($!8,000+).
I do believe in miracles, however, and in prayer. So anyone with a moment to spare, please say a prayer for us! Thanks. M & J
