I\'m going to run in the Chicago Half Marathon
The first half marathon I ever ran was the Chicago Half Marathon, and now I live about a mile or two from where it …
What a great run!
And I timed it perfectly, because just over a mile or so out, I was running right towards an amazingly beautiful woman - who was running also. She smiled real big - and I was so glad I was full of energy tonight, because I felt really good at that part of the run -- and when that smile came my way - wow - I was floating on air for at least half a mile.
Then - about two and half miles into the run - after several turns, I was running up a long slow incline - and wouldn't you know it - here comes that woman gliding effortlessly down the hill towards me at quite a nice clip. This time, the smile almost looked shy... but it was still very sweet.
I don't even want to know what kind of goofy grin I had on my face, lol.
To be honest, it has been quite some time since I have even noticed a woman I was attracted to. Probably another sign that things have been all out of whack and out of balance, now that I think of it.
So after that second smile, I was definitely floating on air - which was a good thing - because then, about 4 miles into my run, I hit this part of the path where it was getting pretty dark and on the path in front of me were FROGS (or toads or whatever they were)!!!
Which *might* have been OK if they would have JUST STAYED PUT, but nooooooooo.... they would hop rather unpredictably, making the last part of my run a huge obstacle course as I hopped here and jolted there, trying not to smoosh any little kermits on my way home.
I was half laughing, and half starting to worry about my knees and ankles, but I made it through without a single smoosh!
No idea how I would ever go about meeting Miss Amazing, but sure does give me something sweet to dream about tonight!

Wow, you've had an interesting weekend! Glad it ended up on a positive note. I'm also glad you didn't smoosh any frogs along the way!

Just make sure it is the women and not the frogs you dream about. LOL ~ Michele
