I have been struggling over the last few weeks since my last post. I am still having spasms & pain in my back constantly. As well as that fatigue has gone through the roof. Both legs have been spasming bad & I dont just seem to be able to get on top of it.
This week I have got a rotten cold/chest infection etc & the dr gave me a week off work so I am home for a few days.
Today I wen to the oorthotics speciialist & got 2 new foot splints & new orthotic shoes. Hopefulty these will help me to walk better. I then went to the Dr & then home to rest.
Next week I have a appt with centrelink & also neurologist appt so should get some answers i hope.
On another note, I have found some of the main board discussions most frustrating & depressing. I will still occasionaly read the posts as I have made a lot of friends there. Just wanted you to know why I have disapeared.
God bless you all
Sue

Hi, I am still in pain from the lumbar puncture. Went back to the hospital on Monday & they said very bruised & infected & a small bledd at site but the Dr didnt do anything. Said go home & rest & take panadol rather than panadeine forte to fight the pain level. HUH this didnt make sense, tried it & to add to the migrianes, headaches, back pain shooting up & down, cramos spasms I then got real bad nausea & couldnt eat or drink much at all.
Didnt bother going back to the hospital as they probably wouldnt have done anything anyway.
I have tomorrow (Friday) off so got 3 days to rest. Not the best way to spend the weekend but whats new.
Thanks for reading.
Sue

Prayers for relief of your pain. I certainly understand what you're going through. I have occasional times when I DON'T have pain but they are too far inbetween. I would definitely like to know if the orthotics help you! I have an AFO for foot drop - and it helps me walk better along with my cane. The mention you made of the other side of the board and the posts I agree with - sometimes I have to just stay away from there because it just causes too much stress for me. You have to do what's right for you.
Best wishes for a better tomorrow!!! Christine

Thanks for your comments. I am already on 100mg (4x25mg) baclofen a day & calium at night as well as heaps of other meds. My back has only been spasming since lumbar puncture last month & same with right leg, that is usually my good one now spasm & pain a lot.
Just to top things off my hubby was in a car accident. He is ok but someone hit the rear of our car. Just hope he doesnt have any effects later.
Hugs, Sue

Yes Baclofen...I think sometimes I need to be on this too. I am on Copaxone though. Remember when we get colds and infections it takes up longer to recover and we really feel bad. Be good to your body and take it easy. Hang in there.
