What meds are you using for your ps? I'm on enbrel and it is fantastic! The only thing I don't care for is having to give myself the injection, it doesn't hurt but it is just the doing. Take care and continue to be positive!

Thanks, I hate my job so much. That's why I'm so miserable. I wake up everyday and dread going to work. But I'm trapped by obligations and bills.

Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the Skin

I have psoriasis on my scalp and a few wee patches on my skin.

      Treatments

      Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
I'm onto my third coal tar shampoo (polytar) and have a coal tar cream/goop I put in my hair overnight. Seems to help lift the scales off my scalp, not sure if it helps to stop them forming.
      Dovonex Too Soon to Tell
I had used dovonex a couple of years ago and it wasn't so helpful. I've started using it on my skin again (in ointment form, which I haven't used before), so we'll see how it goes.
      Hydrocortisone Too Soon to Tell
Hadn't had much luck with hydrocortisone (Locoid) in the past, am now on Elocon, we'll see how it goes.
      Phototherapy Somewhat Helpful
I've used a sunbed (standard one at the beauticians) over winter before. Does help to reduce the severity of the plaques on my skin. Making sure my legs get lots of sun over summer helps to clear them up.
    • Close Shyness

I have always been a bit shy and timid. Over the past few years I have been working on practising my social skills, and thinking more positively about situations where I am shy and nervous.
