Ooooooohhhh, that's what mtj was talking about.

We get to choose a theme for our journals now.

Ooooooooooooh, new DS sparklies...

This journal has no theme.  At least not in my head.  I guess that means it's a General Update.

"This journal has no title, just words and a tuuuuu-uuuuu-uu-uu-uu-uune."

I've been forgetting to mention that Ms. Thums' blood work came back fine.  She's still not herself, so I'll just chalk it up for the time being to her advancing age and the fact that she's the swimming pool to Mokie's cannonball.

Mokie however, goes to the vet today.  If I can stuff him in the carrier.  He doesn't go in hidey holes either.  Even to retrieve toys.  Hidey holes = scary place.  He's going to the vet because he has trouble jumping up.  Or sometimes getting up.  His lower half seems weak.  Want to make sure it's not a hernia or whatever had him throwing up a few days recently.

At least he's going to the vet if we're not covered in ice.  Again.  Freezing rain falling right now.   His appointment is later, it's supposed to be plain rain by then.

Thanks for all the good words for my bead lady.  She's ok, but not ok enough to drive to the shows alone, and her student Togo left.  He was a very nice man, and he always remembered me.  I need to see the beads in person to match the colors...  Plus, the cost of gas now...  Hauling all those beads is not easy on a vehicle.  We'll figure something out.

I got the dining room/bead table vacuumed yesterday.  w00t...  Wish I could stay home today and work on the White Prohect, but Mokie is too much on my mind and has been for awhile.  Gotta get rid of that piece of anxiety.

There was something else I wanted to say...

waiting...

waitiiiiiiing...

Nope, it's gone.

Have a manageable day y'all...  Do what you can.  8:29am

Wishing you best of luck and safe journey to vets. Wilko carefully carried in a prize for me this morning. 2 toads in mating position! I had to carefully lift them and put them in neighbour's garden (still in same position)!

You can go and read about the theme thing. Not as exciting as I first thought beings I don't want strangers reading my journals anymore. Becoming a DS hermit, I guess. I keep on getting friend requests, though...you too? Weird. I'd like to be able to lock my pics, too. I don't put up any that I think are 'contest worthy' anymore, but I'd like to share them with friends. What I'd REALLY like to do is figure out how to make money on them....in a manner that I can handle....sigh...takes money to make money and all my money is crapping on the prairie right now...soon to be crapping on someone else's prairie....yeah, I should shut my trap until I can be, um, fit for human consumption, I guess. Very growly. Is this week over yet? Oh, wait, LAST week was my bad week, forgot...

Otay, Mokie. Sure hope all is well there. My kitty (long ago) wouldn't go into a carrier so I would put her in a pillow case! She didn't mind that so much and I could hold her on my lap that way.

Yay for getting some cleaning done, feels gooooooood, even if it doesn't FEEL good, huh?

I'm going to try to get my crabby butt going...maybe.

    Wuvs ya.

Freezing rain for you and snow for us. It just never seems to end. Hope the weather co-operates for you and you can get to the vet. Sending happy thoughts your way for you and Mokie. Drive carefully.

I have to go see what mtj was talking about.
Ya know, this whole kitty cat thing. How we love them!! They are so much a part of us. Our Monty is starting to get a little senile. Last week he sat on the couch and just stared at the wall, for like, a half hour. Bobby and I were just looking at him and calling his name, but he didn't acknowledge us, at all! Very unusual. He's about sixteen years old we figure. I don't think you take your cat for an annual physical, I think the vet would laugh at you for throwing money at him like that. *they'd order bloodwork and "cat scans" (tee hee) and everything else....but first you have to have something wrong with your cat that you can prove. Not just a feeling. But like you said. Ms. Thums just isn't herself yet. I get that. Monty isn't himself right now. So maybe we should think about a visit to the vet. Do cat's get Alzheimers? Don't know. Must research when brain clears up today! Kitty cat Alzheimers, sounds silly, but it could exist.
Be careful on the drive to the vets! I know how anxiety producing it is when our beloved pets arent well.
    Hugs and wuv to u!!!

Themes? What is this? Must find out...more options for the look of your page would be great!

Oh, I'll tell you and then Prairie about how to have pics but control who sees them. Get a Photobucket acct. It requires a password and nobody but you can access the photos unless you make them public. It's photobucket.com. Then, you just copy/paste the code depending on what you need, and it will either insert the pic in your blog if HTML is supported OR will supply a link to the img tha tppl can see by clicking on it. That's what I do when I have lots of pics or don't want them posted to teh general public.

Wow, I feel guilty. Our weather is almost Springlike now. Sunny and in the 70s*achoo* We had a big storm come in and now all the stuff is just blowing around. I took some pics and will uplaod them sometime today.

Good luck out on the icey roads. Be careful. Give both your kitties a treat for me kay? *poor kitties* :-(

Hope all goes well at the vet...

The Tabster sends hugs to Mokie. She hated going to the vet but I think she liked the last one I found for her. I took her to a complimentary med vet (yes they do exist) and she gave her vaccines that didn't have so much bad preservatives and additives and such so Tabitha was feeling frisky the next day. Usually she feels yucky for about a week after. She hopes Mokie just has something that can be fixed easily with a shot. Meds are OK if you have to take them but she hopes Mokie doesn't have to cause having your mama stuff her fingers down your throat isn't fun.

I'm so glad to hear Ms Thums is OK but sorry to say that Tabby has no response there. She used to have an older sister who she cannonballed all the time too so she doesnt know how it feels to have it done to her. I think she's partial to Mokie.

Drive safe and careful out there today and I hope you get something worked out soon with your bead lady.

    Boohugs!

Oh Darla re your comment above I should have thought to say this. Our Timmy who is 17 has been yowling loudly. Vet took a look at him and asked if we knew that cats can suffer from alzheimers and that is one of the signs. He forgets where he is even though he is in the house. Apart from that he seems to be fine although a bit distant at times.

Weebs, you may want to read the little info thingy about themes. In fact, when the info window pops up, scroll UP a bit to read about the Stories page, cuz that's where journal entries with themes end up. Not for me. If I'm found because you are looking for someone like me, that's one thing, but I don't want to stick my head up in the crowd and start jumping up and down for attention.

Sorry for the kitty health problems. I just heard something on the radio yesterday that Prozac is being prescribed for animals, now. Apparently it helps some behavioral issues like inappropriate peeing in cats. Anyway, Mokie's lower half weakness sounds serious. I hope you were able to get him to the vet yesterday! I'm trying to remember where I've heard that before and what it meant and I'm failing. If I ever remember it'll be at 2AM and I'll wake up yelling, Eureka! And then I will promptly go back to sleep and forget again. No matter what, I hope Mokie and Ms. Thums are both okay. *HUGS*
