I think I am going crazy. Things in the house are topsey turvey. I opened a kitchen cabinet and on the shelf was a thermal coffee cup. New never used. I go in that cabinet everyday and it was never there, Or did I just not see it?????? That is where I keep my plates, bowls, and small plates. Just below that cabinet on the counter was a bottle of tonic water, half gone and flat. I dont drink tonic or any other kind of soda. I just cleaned off that counter. I have cleaned that counter several times...Robert was meticulas about the counters. So I decided to take up the job. The curains in the living are swaged. Everyday when I drive by they are at different lengths. I go in and fix them and the next day they are at different levels. Last Friday I got home from work and the screen door on the porch was open and pushed up on a stone, and the kitchen door was unlocked. I lock every door everyday before I leave the house. Today I got home and a kitchen cabinet door was open. Robert was fussy about the cabinet doors being closed and so I make sure all doors are closed tight.
So I think I am going crazy, but I was talking with another widow. Everyday at 4pm the radio in her living would come on. It drove her crazy for a year after her husband died. She said it just stopped one day. My mother had several sweaters disappear and be replaced with different ones. I have a cleaning lady(Freda) come in every two weeks (she is a widow). She fixes up the pillows in the living room every week. I have not used the living room since Robert passed (and this is the room with the curtains) The pillows were arranged on the sofa like someone was lying on it. The pillow on my big chair was on the floor and the ottoman was pushed away. It is like someone is using by stuff.
I asked my cleaning lady(Freda) if she had been in when I found the door open. I told her about everything happening. That's when she told me about the radio in her house. She asked a couple of questions about the curtains and yes Robert closed them at dusk everynight and opened them in the morning. She suggested I close them at night. I did tonight. And she put away my dishes last week and she said there was no insulated coffee mug there. And about the counter, I had cluttered it up...not what Robert would like.
So am I crazy. Freda does not think so. She thinks that Robert is telling to take care of things. Take of myself and take care of the house. It is just weird. So I am just going to watch things more carefully. I have been so absent minded lately. Maybe I just am not paying attention.
I am having Kielbasa for dinner, cooked with onion, balsamic, salsa, and tomato. And refried beans with jalapenos and munster cheese. Yum, it smells so good.

i do believe in signs from passed loved ones. so robert is trying to tell you he is still with, giving you hints he is there. you two must of had a very tight bond. its freaky but at the same time comforting to know he is with you in spirit and one day you 2 will meet again. god be with you, be strong..im here if you need to talk to someone..kevin

You know rodius I had signs after my youngest sisters death for one full year.I never did understand the meaning of it.
Paper towels would come tumbling down off the pantry shelf.I heard a horriable crash late one night that sounded like a pantry shelf had fallen.The next day there was nothing out of place.I think it may be roberts spirit that doesnt want to leave where he lived with you.
He has to know that its alright for you to let him go I think.
I talked to my sister and asked her to go in peace that it was alright.Sounds crazy I know but what else can we do???
The happenings stopped.Yours might too when you make peace about his death and allow his spirit to move on.
Who can truely explain the unknown we can only speculate.

My friend, change the locks on your doors. I'm not discounting the fact that Robert or some other lost loved one may be around, but dear it sounds like some living person is coming in and using your stuff. For your own safety, please consider doing this. There are a lot of creepy people out there that try to take advantage of people like us. New locks won't stop Robert or any other angel from visiting you - but it will protect you from the not-so-angelic that are still with us. Hate to sound like such a downer - but the reality is that it may not be lost love, and Robert would want you to be safe, wouldn't he?
