    About Me

I have 4 boys, ages 7 & twin 3yr olds, and a newborn that was born on Valentine's Day 08. I also have a 9 year old step-daughter. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and love my whole family. My baby has kidney reflux so we're spending a lot of our time praying and waiting.

    • Close Parenting Big Kids (5-8)

I am a mother of 3 and 1/2 of my own with an 8 year old step daughter. Her father and I married just a little over 2 years ago. All of my kids are boys, even the one on the way, so I love when my MoMo comes to visit.

      Treatments

      Listening Somewhat Helpful
Most of the time, listening is the cure and settling on a middle ground. But sometimes it still seems like when I speak, one side or the other just doesn't hear me. But it's always better to listen to the kids first before just catching the tail end and getting the wrong idea on the situation.
    • Close Twins, Triplets & More

I have twin 3 year old boys. Rotten to the core, but both are really smart.

    • Open Breastfeeding

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have 3 others and have always breastfed, but have difficulties keeping a sufficient suppy so I can never breast feed for long. I'm hoping that someone has some suggestions that the doctors didn't, because everything that they told me to do, I did, and I still dried up.

    • Open Parenting Toddlers (1-3)

I'm the proud mommy of twin 3 year olds. They're quick to learn, but I'm hoping I can get some new ideas on how to get them to actually obey and not turn my living room into a circus every day.. hahaha

    • Open Child Support & Custody

I have 3 boys, the oldest lives with his father, and I have the two youngest, twins. He pays child support, but only $122/mo so it doesn't really do any good.

    • Open Healthy Relationships

My husband and I have been married for 2 years now. Most of the time we're 100% happy, and then when something goes wrong, it really goes wrong for us. We'll stop talking for weeks sometimes.

      Treatments

      Patience Working / Worked
This is our most effective. We'll just let each other cool off and remember that everything said was just in the heat of the argument.
      Talking Somewhat Helpful
Most of the time we can talk it out, but there's other times that the whole, "Get it off your chest" thing, just makes things worse.
    • Open Physical & Emotional Abuse

I'm 26 years old. As soon as I turned 18 I moved in with a man that I thought that I loved. Once we got married he became verbally abusive, once our first son was born, he became even more verbally abusive and almost completely withdrawn from me except for expecting sex every night. I did horrible things to try to make him happy. Finally after 3.5 years, I'd had enough and threatened to leave and he became physically abusive. I left 100% a year after that.

      Treatments

      Abuse Counseling Not Working
He made sure that everything that came out of his mouth, (he talked to the counselor first) was sweet and pretty much lied though his teeth. So in the eyes of the counselor, I was the liar that was asking for just way too much out of the relationship
      Divorce Working / Worked
This was my only option and the only thing that worked. He still finds ways to hurt me every chance that he gets though. Mostly using our oldest son against me. My X has custody of him and our oldest son has a learning disability and he tells me that if our son had BOTH parents with him, that he'd be better off. If I weren't so self centered that I would have put my son first.
      Leave Somewhat Helpful
I left for 2 weeks and stayed with my parents. He swore that he'd change and do anything in his power to make me happy. It lasted for 3 weeks, then it was back to beating me, yelling at me about everything, and even keeping track of my gas mileage so he'd know where I went during the day.
      Talking Not Working
The more I talked, the more he turned it into me and how I deserved everything that I got.
    • Open Healthy Sex

My husband and I have been married for 2+ years and something new is always a plus on keeping things interesting.

    • Open Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)

My son is now 3 months old. He was born on Valentine's Day. He has a condition called Vesicoureteral reflux, which means that his ureters don't let all of his urine flow completely out. But he's the most adorable and cutest little baby that I've ever seen. God really blessed us with him.

      Treatments

      Breast Feeding Working / Worked
Sure does. He's in the 96% on everything..
      Patience Working / Worked
That's a given.. LOL Bundles of joy sure don't come with instruction manuals...
      Research Working / Worked
Sometimes it freaks us out the more we know about it, but it's always better to be prepared.
