Tax deductions...hmm, probably not what you think your friendly pediatrician might write about, but I read a very interesting article in the Business section of the Los Angeles Times today that I fell compelled to share with others here at DS.
I've posted a link to the article below but the take home point is that there exist many deductible medical expenses for those with certain ailments or disabilities. Now I specifically will refer you to your tax expert/accountant/CPA for complete details but here are jus a few of the many overlooked tax breaks:
--smoking cessation treatments
--lead-based paint removal
--the cost of special diets (e.g., those used to treat autism)
--artificial limbs
So as tax season approaches, please don't overlook some of those medical expenses that may be tax deductible and check out the article below.
