I'm a single mother of a wonderful preteen daughter. I work full time in restaurant management. I love to read, swim, and spend time with my girl.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom July 30th and my dad in 2005. My parents lived with me. To me the hardest thing is to lose your parents. Your loss is so new and you are being very normal in your feelings. The hardest part for me was after the funeral was over and people stopped calling and you had to get back to life. That was so hard. That is when the reality struck me and I was lost. I go to grief counceling and I read alot on grief. I also pray alot. Hope you find some peace for yourself

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a Mom is one of the worst things that can happen to a daughter. It is life-altering. I too lost my Mom. I feel your pain. I am always here for you if you need a friend.

      Type: Loss of a Parent

I lost my mother on Dec. 19, 2006 to a massive brain tumor. She was 68 years old, and up until 7 weeks before her death...seemed to be in perfect health. I'm having trouble still accepting her passing...it seems to get worse day by day.

      Treatments

      Crying Somewhat Helpful
I feel a little better after a good crying spell...releases some tension.
      Getting Angry Not Working
      Never seems to help.
Support from Friends & Family Not Working
My sister and father don't seem to understand the level of grief that I suffer from. They still have a difficult time, but not to the point of it affecting their daily life.
      Talking Somewhat Helpful
Sometimes talking helps, but I hate to feel like I'm constantly bringing people down.
      Time Not Working
The more time that passes, the more I miss her.
