Yes I am 53 and also told that I have left than a year to live also with cancer. It's tough on the loved ones which is why I don't talk a lot about it with my family either. Have you explored a cancer support group - usually at any cancer hospital - where you can vent you r feelings. Do you have a belief sysyem. That has helped me a lot. But know in the short of things cancer is a very lonely burden, hard to bear. When you talk with your Dad, talk with him about more care-freee happy days and cheerful things that are happy things that are happening in your life. That will make him happy and more apt to open up later about the cancer. best, kevin

May God bless you and keep you in perfect peace. Here are some encouraging healing bible verses to uplift you. Remember, faith moves mountains and you can get through anything in the name of Jesus. Exodus 23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Psalm 103:3-4 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Matthew 8:14-17 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
