We had another follow up with the psychiatrist last Friday and my son is doing great with the Concerta! He hasn't even lost any weight! He seems so much more content and happy now and he is now holding his head up and talking to people wanting to socialize like never before! Some of his confidence I know comes from the fact that he's doing better in school. It is harder to keep on schedule with eating and drinking over the weekend which means the dizzy spells and bad stomach aches return. We will keep to our schedule better now... We are to continue on as we have with the collaboration of help of medication, therapy, and classes... And my youngest daughter will be starting the same collaboration of help by next weekend! We can only hope for her to have atleast some of the same positive experience her brother has had.
How wonderful to have a positive result like you are having! I know that life style changes are not easy but when it comes to balancing your life out it is worth the effort. So congratulations on all the hard work. I hope it just gets easier from here. It seems easier when the second child is going through some of the same things you've been through with the first one.
I'm so glad you shared your success with me. It is such an encouragement.

I was going to tell you that my oldest was on Concerta and it worked well. I had to get used to her raiding the fridge at 11:00pm and being wide awake then also. The Doctor said that was when the med was wearing off. So give her food and make sure she had enough exercise in the day so that she would be somewhat tired at night even with the med wearing off.
Good luck.
