    About Me

I am a married (for 13yrs.) at home mom (for 6yrs.) with 3 young children. Before that I had a great career as a medical assistant in a busy pediatric office (for 7yrs.). I have an ADHD 10 yr.old son (the inattentive type), an ADHD 5 yr.old daughter (the combined or "classic" type with hyperactive, impulsive, & inattentive) (my husband & I also have ADHD) and I have a 7 yr.old daughter in the middle who's gifted with some symptoms of OCD. I have a genetic condition called EDS III, (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type III). My 3 young children display many of the symptoms also, so it seems that I may have passed it on to all 3 of my young children but they are young which makes it harder to know for sure, yet. The fun side is that we are very flexible. The dark side is that it causes complications with the connective tissues in the body like the joints, heart valves, veins, spine discs, eyes (vision), eardrums (hearing), gastric problems (valves & function), skin problems (bad scarring & injure easily), and frequent pain and fatigue. Nothing can be done accept be aware, stay fit and healthy, and try to prevent injury and watch over my children with it...

    Interests

The outdoors, walking our beagle dog on the local trails, being active with my family, playing active games with my family on the Wii, and being the best mom I can be by learning everything I can...

      Vision Therapy Somewhat Helpful
My 9yr. old has always been sensative and worn sun glasses. Recently he began to wear lightly tinted sunglasses(you can still see his eyes) indoors. It helps keep his headaches to a minimum. We are unable to try this with our 5yr.old, don't know if it would help...
