    I am 29 years old. I got married on Aug. 7, 2004 to a wonderful man. I am a K, 1st, and 2nd grade teacher at a small Lutheran School in Hooper, NE. My husband and I own our own home on 3 acres of land. It is gorgeous. I have 2 furbabies. My dogs Pip and Bailey.

    Interests

    I love to spend time with my family and my friends. I love to read anything from children's books to sappy romance novels. I also enjoy biking and working on our acerage.

      Thank you so much for your insight and support. It is SOOO hard to figure all of this out! We plan to meet with my RE this wednesday morning and make a final decision at that time, I'll keep you posted. Your story really does help me sort through the decisions.       Type: Ovarian Issues

      We have been TTC since Oct. 2004. In Oct. 2006, I was diagnosed with PCOS. I have been on 1500mg of Metformin since Jan. 2007 and have completed 3 Clomid cycles with my OBGYN all BFN's. I did bloodwork and all came back clear. However HSG showed a problem with the uterus. Lap surgery 3/28 confirmed problem and IVF is our only way to concieve. IVF #1 was a BFN. We have 11 frozen embies. Will be doing a FET in September.

      Clomid Somewhat Helpful
      I have done 3 cycles of Clomid #1 at 50mg which made me ovulate for the first time in 2 years. I did cycle #2 at 100mg. no ovulation. My 3rd Clomid cycle was no ovulation. My s/e have mostly been moodiness (crying in particular)
      Ganirelex Working / Worked
      It worked to mature up my follicles prior to ER. My biggest s/e was it cramped up my muscles.
      hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
      It worked for ovulation.
      HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Somewhat Helpful
      The HSG showed that I have a partically uni-cornate uterus that is tiled the wrong way. Will need to have lathroscopic scope surgery to hopefully attach right tube correctly.
      Hysteroscopy Somewhat Helpful
      Had this done during my Lap and found more uterine issues.
      In Vitro Fertilization Somewhat Helpful
      We retrieved 28 eggs during our ER and had 16 fertilized. BFN on our first cycle but 11 frozen embies. FET in September.
      Metformin Working / Worked
      I have been on Metformin since Jan. 2007. I had bad s/e for the first few weeks but now they are gone.
      Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
      Once I started the Clomid, the OPK's actually began to work for me. Will no longer be using them. YAY!!
      Progesterone Too Soon to Tell
      Just started PIO injections so we will have to see how it does for my progesterone.
      Repronex Working / Worked
      This worked very well for me as it made my ovary produce 28 eggs!
      Estradiol Working / Worked
      I took this for my FET. It helped to get my body ready for transfer. My major side effect was headaches.

    • Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

      I was diagnosed with PCOS in Oct. 2006 but I have known I had it for about 10 years now. I have IR and moderate PCOS. I have a lot of the outer effects of it (hair on my arms, neck, and stomach). I do not have regular cycles and need provera to bring on a proper AF. I only get light to moderate spotting on my own. I have done 3 clomid cycles all BFN's. FOund out in March 08 I had no fallopian tubes and a unicornate uterus. IVF #1 was BFN. We have 11 frozen embies so a FET in September.

      I have done 2 cycles of clomid that have helped me to Ovulate but no BFP.
      Metformin Working / Worked
      I have been on Met since Jan. 2007. It didnt work on its own but I am not sure how well it works with the Clomid.
      Provera Working / Worked
      I don't have regular cycles and need Provera to begin my cycles.
      Repronex Too Soon to Tell
      Will be starting in a few months.
