Type: Relapsing-remitting MS

Come to think about my symptoms, I started experienceing dumbness in both legs when I was 18yrs old. My mom took me to doctor after doctor, and they related my symptoms to severe stress, due to the bitter divorce of my parents. However, I remember an elderly doctor who said, "you seem to have symptoms related to MS...but you are not the right age or race." I wish he would have at least tested me. I began experiencing dumbness in my right hand last year, and got diagnosed with RR MS.

Treatments

Avonex Somewhat Helpful

Worked great the first several months, but severe relapses continued about 6 months into treatment.

Tysabri Too Soon to Tell

The side effects of this med is scary...but if I do nothing, my symptoms will continue to worsen.
