      Hi! I just wanted to send you a huge hug!! I just read your post on our "Daddys Girl" group. I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad, and for the pain that you're going through. I started that group 2 weeks ago because I was hoping to find other daughters who have lost their fathers. I'm sure you will find some comfort & support from the group.       I have had Parkinson's since I was 32. I am 41 now. I was fine until about 1 1/2 years ago. Now get frozen alot, and alot of pain. Also I have Rhuematoid Arthritis.

      Treatments

      Mirapex Working / Worked
      seems to be okay. no side effects that i am aware of.
      Sinemet Working / Worked
      taking for 5 1/2 years. side effects more & more.

      I was diagnosed with RA in 1998. One week before being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The RA conflicts w/PD. Sometimes I don't know which is which. I have been hospitalized 3 times due to RA medications!! Methotrexate being the worst!! I now take Glucosamine Chond. w/ MSM, & things are going pretty good.

      Treatments

      Arava Not Working
      Lost almost all of my hair, even after my Dr said it wasn't from that
      Enbrel Not Working
      I did not actually take it, my friend did-& she had a stroke from it & died.
      Methotrexate Not Working
      BAD DRUG!!! I got a bladder infection, kidney infection, blood infection, & sinus infection all at the same time! (depletes the immune system)
      Prednisone Not Working
      Another bad one. Makes you eat & feel terrible.
      Glucosamine/Chondroitin Working / Worked
