About Me
Hi! I am Lisa and I am from Alabama. I am a Christian who firmly believes in the power of prayer. I am 26 years old and have been trying to conceive for 7 months, but been wanting to for 14 months. Due to an abnormal Pap, I had to wait 6 months. So I consider that time lost as well. I am married to a wonderful man! He is a Firefighter and I appreciate a man who would risk his life for the sake of saving others. I have a step-daughter named Kristen and she is 8 years old. She is the light of my life for sure. I want so desprately to give her a little brother or sister! That is my goal, and prayer everyday. I am glad I found this site, and I think everyone here is special.
Interests
I love to walk, and do outdoors activities. I love to spend time with my family. I would like to learn how to cook!!! I love the Fall and Winter!!! I recently found out that I also like searching the internet for crazy ideas and ways to get us pregnant :)

Close Infertility
Type: Hormonal DisordersI am 27 y/o and my DH and I have been trying to conceive for 7 months but wanted to start earlier. Due to some other health problems I had to put it on hold until this past July. So here I am!
Treatments
- Basal Thermometer Working / Worked
- It did indicate that I ovulated so it is helpful in that aspect. The only down-fall is that you have to take it at the same time every morning which can be difficult.
- Clomid Somewhat Helpful
- I am on my third round with it. The first time it was 50 mg, then 100mg, then I took 2 rounds of 150mg. Doctor took me off of it. Caused cysts, but worked. Will move onto injectables.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- It just strengthens your uterus for upcoming pregnancy.
- Follistim Too Soon to Tell
- Starting April's cycle.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Very painful. Showed that both tubes were open.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Not Working
- I did not find these effective.
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- I have had the shots and they have worked to serve their purpose so far.
- Vitex Not Working
- Start 12/27/07. Had to stop taking because you cannot take while taking fertility meds.
Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Went to my RE 2/14 and he told me he thinks I have PCOS. Been TTC for about 9 months.
Treatments
- Clomid Working / Worked
- Regulated cycles and caused ovulation.
- Oral Contraceptives Working / Worked
- Tood BCP for 7 years. Stopped to have a baby.
- Vitex Working / Worked
- Was taking it, but cannot now due to clomid.
