Close Sexual Abuse
I have four children three of them are grown. It was my worst nightmare when I found out two of them were sexually abused by by a person I trusted. I thought things couldn't be worse. Then I finally got the nerve to ask for help from my best friend. That was when I realized I really had no friends that could understand my pain. The loneliness just multiplied the pain. I guess that is the reason I looked for this website.
Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I have a son that was always hard to deal with. He joined the Marines and it was one of the best things that ever happened to him. He finished his 4 years after coming back from Iraq, and has been out two years now. Him and his wife are separated, he has two sons. One is 2 and the other is 4. Before going into the Marine he was a bully. He was diagnosed with PTSD about 5 months ago. Now he has time (not very often when he is just a horrible jerk to everybody.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- He went to counseling for a while. His work sent him for counseling, but asked him to resign as soon as he was diagnosed.
- Talking Working / Worked
- Not very well. Does ok some times
