Thanks...Thanks. :) Deb
Thanks for being there and for all your support. Just a hug, for the heck of it.
Hi WildIndigo! Welcome to the group :)
Hello Jayme. Thanks for the hug and here is a huge bear hug for you back. You inspire in ways that I never thought possible.
Thanks for your support. I really needed it toady.
Raised in an overweight household, both of my parents use(d) food to anaesthetize themselves. I too, developed this habit. At the end of high school, I weighed 250 lbs. I started to trade self destructive habits for healthy ones, and have lost 70+ lbs. I've come a LONG way, but still have trouble with occasional binges. I'm starting to see a trend, and realize that this is a problem that is much bigger than food. I want to get better and better, and help others break the cycle!
At my heaviest, I weighed 250 lbs. I had been overweight since childhood. When I was 20, I started training to be a Herbalist. Wow, what a transformation! The one thing you do every day that can change the way you live and die is EAT! So, by eating whole, natural foods, and drinking lots more pure water and herbal teas helped me to lose over 70 lbs with ease. I now weigh 10 lbs less than I did when I was 12. I'm a work in progress, 20 lbs to go. Binging is still a challenge!
This is truly the only way to go! I've tried hundreds of diets, and the only thing that consistently worked and provided long-lasting results was a switch to healthy, whole foods!
