Today I lost my baby Hope my best friend! She ran out of the house and across the road. The little league was cleaning up the baseball field across the street and she saw all of the kids. She was hit by a car. The jerk never even stopped. My husband ran to get her and we hurried her to the vet immediately, but it was to late. We watched her get hit. It was horrible.
It happened around 10:30am this morning and I have been crying ever since, I am devestated. My poor little girl. I will miss her so much. David was so worried I would be lonely without her that he bought me another dog this afternoon. A 2lb little girl yorkie I will pick her up tomorrow. I haven't brought myself to name her yet. I have such mixed emotions. I know we are not replacing hopey, nothing could replace such a beautiful joy. But, I would be so lonely without her.
Hope` followed me everywhere and kept me company daily until David came home from work. David takes his puggle with him to work. I know the new puppy will be a comfort come Monday when David leaves for work and I am still so sad from losing my Hope. I will miss her greatly. I am so sad, I never knew it could hurt this much. I never had a dog that was just mine. She was definately "my" dog and my heart is aching.
Cherish your love puppies and give them extra hugs from me, tears...M

Oh, my friend, I can't tell you how sorry I am. When I read this I burst into tears for you and your loss. Just know that St. Francis has taken her into his arms and she is now safe.
I'm so glad David bought you another dog. Another will never replace your little Hope but a new one will bring different kinds of love and affection and comfort.
Cry is all out and never forget her.
hugs and loves, Marti

So sorry about your dog, I started to cry when I read it, just by the way you wrote it, I could tell she meant everything to you. The new pup will not replace Hope, but will be a comfort to you. The name of the new puppy will come to you. Here's a hug from me to you. Love Janet

oh goodness - this so brought back the time when I saw my little cocker spaniel, Simon, bowled over underneath a car and killed instantly. This is just sooo heartbreaking, something that you will never forget. I am so glad you have another little one to spoil, it is not replacing Hope, you couldnt do that, but this little one will comfort you....so much thinking of you....love Cathrynn XX

I'm so sorry. They are our family, friends and constant companions and ask nothing but to be loved and give us unconditional love in return. Try to think of your new baby as just that a new joy to help with the pain and not a replacement. Hope will always be with you in spirit.
