Support Groups
Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
Diagnosed 1/08, both RF and anti-CCP strongly positive. Symptoms began in 2007 with joint pain in hands. At initial visit with rheumatologist, clinical symptoms were atypical but that changed rapidly within 4 weeks. Fatigue has worsened and pain and swelling in my wrists, elbows, shoulders, feet, ankles, and knees has begun. Started MTX immediately and still waiting for full effect. Tried to avoid prednisone but recently added it to get some relief. I am still hopeful!
Treatments
- Celebrex Not Working
- Only took briefly, but didn't seem to work any better than naproxen.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- 20.0 mg a week...not working adequately and biologics are next in line.
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- Better then nothing!
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Great while it lasted...tapering down now and not enjoying it.
- Humira Too Soon to Tell
- Just gave myself second injection way easier than I thought it would be and am very hopeful
