I knbow and am becoming more aware as well that Michigan has services other places don't. The kicker is that a lot don't fit our needs (yet)(at this time). Eventually that will change. I guess we all have or are in that situation sometimes. rocasi
Around here there a couple of day programs hubby could go to, eventually for partial days all the way up to full days, but one is full up--not even able tgo get on waiting list to check it out. The other one has no activities that interest him. He has never been into crafts, hobbies, bingo, exercise, gardening, etc. He can't read. He's always been active, puttering in garage, building things, hunting, fishing, etc. We certainly have challenges. rocasi
You are so right. I was making myself crazy because I know where they are coming from and why they want to do what they want to, but finally figured out I can't take those issues on. I have to look out for hubby 1st last and always. They'll have to get their own heads straight about that because they are Ok and he's not. Can you believe one of them said I had to get across to him that when they come visit (rre) he can't insist they sit and visit when they're out in the garage bnecause the chairs out there aren't real comfortable and they can't sit for long times. He's supposed to deal with them standing, walking around, and fidgeting with things. He's the one with problems that are aggravated with distractions, and they are coming for a "short" visit? I thought when you went to visit someone ill, you bent to what would be comfortable for them. What do you think? Fill me in on your peeves. rocasi
