Type: Loss of a Child

My baby Melody got a blood infection and died, I almost died too, but didnt. I am not handeling it well, it has been long enough, but I still cant "do" halloween, my friends childrens birthdays and get mad when I hear that peopl abuse kids, I dont understand, it changed who I am, but God is great and sent me a tiny raccoon to care for and I went all out, I was a very good raccoon mommy, started a non profit Wild Rescue, Inc, and went to Katrina and washed dogs, horses and cats for three weeks.

Like a big baby, I cried for months at a time. I still cry often, I miss her and the life I thought we would have.

I saw other women that had been going for years and didnt want to be like that, so I really dealt with a lot of it, thank goodness I went.

This seemed to be the most healing, helping others in real need.

I went to work five days after Melody's death and worked like a maniac, it helped to be in situations that I had to act normal, and it did give me a reason to get out of bed.

I would have killed myself many times if not for my pets, I know that sounds crazy but it is true.

Prayer works for everything. It was a terrible situation, and God is great

I am actually thinking about counseling, last time I went the DR said that he would be depressed too if all that happened to him, that did not help me

My Mom is very supportive now but everyone seemed to run away at first, very strange, slowly they came back and are now more understanding, my sister was a nightmare, but then she had a misscarrage and it changed her

Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Our next door neighbor molested me when I was five, I was raped by my uncle at 13, many bad relationships, drugs, depression, running away, stress, it seems insane when I add up things in my life. I have nightmares, cant sleep, have anxiety, begun to avoid social functions and am seeking help, finally.

Have not had it yet, I just had the surgery, then I will have several sessions of radiation

Open Menopause

I turned 50 in June/07 and have started noticing things like my legs aren't as hairy but now I have to check my chin, I dont sleep at night or wake up every hour on the hour, My periods are only one or two days, I swet for no reason, I get hot when it is not hot and I am gaining weight for no reason. Hmm so far this menopause is great, but I am getting tested for my hormone and thyroid levels

I was molested by our next door neighbor when I was five, his mom caught him one time and yelled and screamed in french, waving her hands and slapping her 20 yr old son then she screamed at me to go home then they moved during the night, I lost my best friend and my innocense

Open Family & Friends of Cancer Patients

My brother Brent has cancer, he started losing weight and looking horrible, I saw him at Christmas and told him he looked terrible and suggested he go to the dr. Well he did, and they discovered his splean was huge and about to burst, everything came to a halt. He started chemo right away, the splean is now back to normal size, but he has luekemia and a rare weakness in his blood. He has an identicle twin but he cant help him because he has the same weakenss.
