About Me
I have three sons, 22, 19, and 14. My oldest son goes to college and is lazy the rest of the time. My middle son is in the Army training to be an Army Ranger. I divorced after 18 years of marriage because "of irreconcilable differences." That was 5 years ago. It was the smartest thing for my health that I could have done.
Interests
I love dogs and being outside. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking and team sports in the summer. I have taken up a new year-round sport called "Irish Road Bowling. I travel all over the state to compete. I hope to get good enough to place in the Womens League and could travel to Boston or New York and maybe even to Ireland.

Close Fibromyalgia
I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 19 years ago but have been really bad for the past 8 years.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
- Usually have to begin use again in winter or when symptoms are bad and I am not resting.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Helps me sleep and I have succumbed to the fact will always have to use. I have gained weight using, which I have tried to go off on my own to lose weight.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Helps relax my muscles and I use alot in colder weather.
Close Chronic Pain
I have fibromyalgia and TMJ. I suffer from chronic pain alot in the face, neck, shoulders and even difficulty dressing because it hurts to lift my arms over my head.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- It seemed to help, but it was short-term. Always had to return weekly. Gets quite expensive if going 52 weeks a year.
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- Helps me get needed sleep when have a bad spell. Always have to use in winter with other meds I take all year.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- It helps me relax. I don't think it makes the pain disappear, just bearable.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Works when pain first comes on. Not much use in the long run.
- Lidoderm Somewhat Helpful
- I use this the most for facial pain. It helps ease the pain until I fall asleep. You find small patches in your bed. Can't use at work.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- I do not do now, but I still use the information I learned from physical therapy daily in my stretching programs.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Yes. I have found some help here, especially with migraines. It also helps me sleep. I have stomach problems if I take full dose at one time. Take in morning then the rest in the evening.
Open TMJ
I have TMJ and suffered with headaches and Migraines. My head hurt so bad that I could not brush my hair and had to wash gently.
Treatments
- Mouthguard Working / Worked
- Have to wear every night. I'm a clincher. I don't grind but I bite down and don't let up. Should wear all day as well but do not because I talk funny & I deal with the public. I feel like my teeth are getting dirty.
Open Raynaud's Disease
I was diagnosed with Raynaud's 5 years ago, when by toes where turning white and some would swell and turn red. Now I can no longer enjoy my favorite season, Winter. I love walking in the in the winter, when the snow is hanging heavy on the trees.
Treatments
- Norvasc Working / Worked
- I have Fibromyalgia also and symptoms tend to get worse in the winter and raise it has caused HBP problems and Norvasc treats both these symptoms. Side effects near passing out if blood pressure drops too low. Dosage 5mg to 10mg due to temperatures.
Open Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I was just diagnosed last week. I had mono in December and it has manifested to CFS. I also have Fibromyalgia was dignosed 20 years ago. Also on Wednesday was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Regurge.
