About Me
Been married for 28 years, have son, 27 who is married, daughter who is 21, and son who is 19. I was diagnosed with MS in 2001, but I have had symptoms since I was around 12. I am also 24/7 caregiver to my husband who is a disabled Viet Nam Vet who has ptsd, agent orange, fibromyalgia, diabeties, and alzheimers. So, my days are full....I just keep stumbling along to make it thru each day. Love to read, bake, watch old movies, playing cards and cribbage, taking pictures, and playing with my cats and dogs. I love it in the summer to take the boat out on the lake and just float around and daydream. I also love to go exploring in our northwoods, but have to be careful of the big creatures that lurk around.

i went to see a g.p. last week for severe fatigue and numbness in my left hand... she seemed concerned and drew some blood. i see her again tomorrow and im freakin out... i have a lot of the symptoms of ms and im scared of what she's gonna say... how do you cope?

I was diagnosed on Aug 30, 2001.
Treatments
- Avonex Not Working
- I use to take for 1 1/2 years, but did not like the flu side effects. Down for 6 of the 7 days, and then start all over again.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Depends on my limits for the day
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Once I get in I dont want to get out. I feel so good.
Close Caregivers
I take care of my husband who has alzheimers, fibromyalgia, ptsd, diabeties,and suffers from agent orange. I also have MS, so my days can be rough.
