Type: Clinical (Major) Depression

I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 1987. Until April of this year I was hard and cold against anything and everything. On the second Sunday in April 2007 I laid that down on an alter and let Jesus have control of my life.

Treatments

Desipramine Working / Worked

Working great, my depression for the most part is under control. I still have my good days and bad days, but my faith brings me through those bad times

Meditation Working / Worked

The time that I spend alone with God is probably the best thing that I do for my emotional well being.

Psychotherapy Working / Worked

Talking to the counselor really does help. He understands how the depression affects me emotionally and physically. I get along better seeing a counselor

Writing Working / Worked

My journal can help lift me when I am down. When the depression comes I can go back and read my journal of better days in the past. This too can help when other things fail to.

Atarax Working / Worked

Without it I would find sleeping all but impossible. I find it hard to turn off the day and get to sleep.

Ativan Working / Worked

This drug replaced another that helped with the immediate depression symptoms. Unlike other drugs it still leaves me in control of my ability to care is not compromised.

Open Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

Sorry I left, Their were some problems with my medication. This caused me to do some STUPID things. Leaving this group was one of them
