About Me
Work at Hoover Dam. Civil Engineering Tech. Got Hep C back in 1974. Passed on to both my children. I taken taken and fail treatment 3 times. Just released from hospital and told no current medication would help me situation and I would hope UCLA could help me as a test patient. I am now taking responsibility for my treatment and have started several things to improve my condition that don't deal with doctor prescribed medication. I just want to have a decent quality of life and life.

Treatments
- Interferon, pegylated Working / Worked
- Tried 3 treatments. Last one lasted for 22 months with ddaily injections. My genotype is 1a. Have been recently told that current treatment available will not help me. Side effects were the worse.
- Milk Thistle Working / Worked
- just started taking this
- Ribavarin Working / Worked
- took with the interferon in combo. Did not work. Yes, side effects
