I feel like the irony in having a feeling of "powerlessnes" is that this is when we really begin to show signs of strength. It is like humility showing honor and courage. An intelligent man named Paul once said that he took pleasure in distresses and persecutions because when he was weak, then was he strong. He knew that the strength of the Almighty was made perfect in his weakness. It is when we realize how frail we are and how simple we are in comparison to the grand scale of things that we can truly begin to grow as human beings. You have reached the place in your life where you have begun to see these things and now it is up to you as to what you do with it. Gain strength from it my friend. Use it for a cleansing and begin a new life free from all the turmoil and pain you have been experiencing. You are showing strength and you don't even realize it. Understnding our limitations and knowing we have them is a great step in growing ang maturing. You have done this. You are moving forward, even though it may not be at the pace you desire. Keep looking ahead and know that you will come out of this a better person. I believe in you and I know someone "much higher up" that does too!! You have people behind you, supporting you on your journey....don't give up and don't look back. ONWARD!!!!

Well the good thing about being in this phase is if you are using the 12 steps there are more steps to follow and a lot of hope there. You are not alone!

Take one day at a time! Applaud yourself for getting through that day and go to the next. Best wishes to you and remember that it will get better.
