is feeling OK
I am a travel RN, I want to get my flight certification again - because of my weight gain and the diabetes I could no longer do flight traumas. With having the surgery my passion is to one day become a flight nurse and do a contract in a 3rd world country.
I enjoy most things in life - just living life each day. I have learned that things truly happen for reasons. I believe in the saying "Live each day as if it is you last because you never know what tomorrow may bring" If there is something I have not tried or done in life - I am usually willing to give it a try. I love the outdoors. I also like to read and pamper myself at times. I enjoy time with family.

I am an addict trying to stay clean one day at a time. I am a chronic relapser. I have been using since the age of 12 and heavily addicted to crack/cocaine for the past 10 years. I came to California in January - stayed clean for the first three months and then I found the connections I needed and that was all she wrote. I then got introduced to NA, which still had not kept me clean, I have a wonderful sponsor now - I am stying clean one day at a time.
I had gastric bypass on October 30th. Many people felt I was not overweight or not big enough to have surgery. I am a severe diabetic who gave myself nine injections on a good day, I have high blood pressure, heart problems, and high cholesterol.Since surgery I have not had to do any insulin,I will go the first of December to see where we go with the insulin, hopefully I will remain insulin free.If I did not do something I would not be here when I turned 50.I struggle everyday with my decision.
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the age of 22 and have been on medication
Developed gestational diabetes, 10 years later, started on oral, then moved onto insulin averaging about 250 units of insulin daily, GB surgery now insulin free.
The relationship I have been in for the last 5 years has been with a man from Nigeria,I have brought him into my family and they have learned to accept us.
Diagnosed by accident after having CT scan told that I needed to see a cardiologist I have a dilated ascending aorta, resting heart rate was 124. Chest pain developed after surgery,no troponin leak but now have T wave abnormaties on EKG,
