About Me
My name is Dr.Fred (Eyes), because I'm A Retired Optometrist, for over 9 years.Practiced for over 33 years. Gave"Sight"to others so as to learn from their "Insight". I am happily married to a very lovely lady for 44 years. She survived and supported me doing my episodes. I owe my life to her.. At 66...I have the knowledge and experience with Bipolar Disorder. My "Mission" here at DS is to "Help Others with Achieving Stability with Bipolar Disorder".
Interests
Walking, Biking, Swiming, Sailing. Living in a Senior community, I try to help others with their mental concerns and helping them believe that every passing year, our "Stability" will continue to Grow.

I hope you woke up this morning with a big smile on your face I hope the sun is shining just for you and the birds are singing their very best songs... I hope your coffee is hot and tastes just right and the cats are purring contentedly, and the mailman waves a cheery hello and there are no bills in the mailbox... I hope just everything goes your way ... I hope everything is well with your world, a place for everything and everything in it's place... I hope you can enjoy all you do and you are complimented on the way you look and you can laugh and talk and share to your heart's content I hope you have all you wish for yourself and those dear to you, and all your dreams come true... Close Bipolar Disorder
My story is over 50 years with Bipolar Disorder. For almost 25 years I lived with over 5 episodes. Now,with changing my thoughts and consistancy of Lithium,I have changed my Life. I have maintained 25 years of Stability !
Treatments
- Lithium Working / Worked
- I was one of the first to receive Lithium when FDA first approved it in 1970. It worked,but I would not comply. Result, over 5 episodes. Findly I needed to comply. Now it keeps me stable for the last 25 years !
Close Blindness & Visual Impairment
My Profession as a Optometrist for 33years keeps me intrested,even after retirement.
Open Other Heart Problems
Type: Heart MurmurAortic Disorder leading to Aortic Insufficiency. Left Ventricle dilation/thickness leading to Aortic Value Replacement Surgery by Auguest 1st,2008.
