I am better today than yesterday. I was so embarrased after church because I walked up to my pastor and started to cry …
Well, I honestly didn't think I was going to go to church this morning. I thought I would feel so out of place because I would be there all by myself. It was pouring rain outside. I got dressed and before I walked out the door, I hugged my grandma and told her happy mommy's day. I walked all the way to church. I don't know why, but I did. I was completely drenched and freezing by the time I got to church!
Service was so totally awesome! First, Pastor Dennis preached a small sermon about not giving up and not quiting even if we think we're going through hell. Then Pastor Bobbie Jo (Pastor Dennis's wife) preached about mother's day. I thought that none of it would pertain to me. I kinda was off in la la land in the beginning. Then I caught a bit of what she was saying. It was so awesome! The one thing that stuck in my mind was that if you don't have your mom, the holy spirit is your "mommy" figure. I totally loved the sermon! I was freezing after service because my clothes were still drenched, so Katherine took me home! Yay!
My mom called when I got home and I wished her a happy mother's day. She said that when I said that it meant more than I could know! God is rekindling our hearts and our relationship slowly, but surely! Yay!
My aunt, Georgette, and 11 year old cousin, Michael, came over also. We had lunch. We had potato perogies, green beans, and Michael and I had cheesy chicken nuggets also. I felt pretty crummy about eating, so when Michael asked me if I could take him to the park, I was so relieved! I took my rollerblades and he basically ran the whole way there keeping up with me. I told him that we could take the bus home, but I didn't realize I didn't have any of my bus cards with me so we had to walk and blade home. We played for a while at the park (Portage Park is HUGE!) then we were on our way back home. Michael asked me if he could try my rollerblades out. It was so hilarious! At one point, Michael grabbed onto my backpack and I was pulling him! He loved it! Then when we got home, I made sure he drank a full bottle of water so he wouldn't get dehydrated. He rode up and down the block with my rollerblades and I took pictures of him! I had so much fun today and so did Michael! Oh shoot, I forgot to take a picture of him with my webcam!
I hope your mother's day was really fun! Mine was a blast!
Please pray for Alesha, I haven't talked to her in 8 days.
