I HAVE SOMETHING TO VENT ABOUT!! Mood

I AM SEEING RED AT THE MOMENT. A DEAR FRIEND ON DS HAS BEEN ATTACKED BY A BUNCH OF VIGILANTES WHO THINK THEY KNOW IT ALL. I AM LIVID!! I GUESS THIS IS SOMETHING WE SHOULD EXPECT ON SUCH A PUBLIC SITE AS DS, BUT IT STILL INFURIATES ME WHEN PEOPLE CAN'T MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS. WHAT IS WRITTEN IN YOUR OWN JOURNAL BELONGS TO YOU. I FEEL WE ARE FREE TO SAY WHATEVER WE WANT TO SAY. IF SOMEONE DOESN'T AGREE OR DOESN'T LIKE IT...THEY CAN DELETE DELETE DELETE!! I HONESTLY THINK I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS ON DS THAT ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY HAVE. IF THERE IS EVER A TIME WHEN I CAN'T COME HERE AND EXPRESS MYSELF, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE ELSE, OR JUST READ A JOURNAL AND LEAVE A HUG....THEN I WILL CERTAINLY USE THAT DELETE FEATURE! I RAN INTO A PROBLEM MONTHS AGO, BUT I AM HAPPY TO SAY IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED. OPINIONS ARE JUST THAT.....OPINIONS! THEY AREN'T GOVERNING RULES BY WHICH EVERYONE MUST ABIDE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE ON DS...IF SOMEONE IS RUBBING YOU THE WRONG WAY, FIND A DIFFERENT FRIEND....I HAVE NARROWED MY FRIEND'S LIST DOWN MORE THAN ONCE AND MAY HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT??? THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL. NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO BE INSULTED AND HAVE A GANG OF KNOW IT ALLS ATTACK YOU! HOW OLD ARE YOU ANWAY...THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE MADE IT YOUR QUEST TO INVESTIGATE SOMEONE THAT YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT???? YOU SHOULD ALL BE KICKED OFF DS FOREVER. I HOPE I WON'T BE HEARING FROM ANY OF YOU BECAUSE YOU AREN'T THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT I WOULD EVER CLAIM TO BE INVOLVED WITH. AT LEAST YOU AREN'T AMONG THOSE ON DS THAT I CALL "FRIENDS". FROM THIS JOURNAL FORWARD, I GUESS I WILL LOCK MY JOURNAL JUST IN CASE YOU SHOULD HAPPEN ALONG SOMEDAY LIKE A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING!

That's awful Junebug. I'm sorry to hear that your friend is being attacked. How can people be so crue. I love this site because my friends are so supportive. This site is a safe haven where people can vent and feel that they can trust their friends to be there for them. I don't know what I would have done without this site when I had my infertility issues. I couldn't cry to my hubby all the time, because he was feeling the same pain. None of my non DS friends knew what I was going through. I had some work friends with infertility issues and my hairdresser, but still this site saved me from serious depression. I will always be here for you Junebug!

How cold for someone to check into someone else or to attack someone like that - you're right, they should be turned into DS authorities and kicked off this site, we don't need people like that here - makes me feel very uncomfortable knowing they are out there.. I have had a few who have stepped over the line and I make sure if I even suspect that I have crossed the line that I make contact right away and apologize - I never mean to or want to hurt anyone.. I have been locking my journals forever it seems - but I also have trust issuse with ex-dil's.. I hope your friend is ok.. Love you sweetie..

oh no ,not again! thats why i keep my journals locked ,as i wrote a personal one a while back ,and somebody who didnt know me at all ,took it upon themselves to have a go ,just what i didnt need ,and im sure your friend didnt either.
Ds is supposed to be the safe haven ,where we all come for some escapism and support ,when life is getting us down ,most of us reciprocate this ,and are there for our friends when they most need us too.
Lets hope ds doug ,gleams who these unpleasant creatures are ,and bans them before anyone else gets hurt.
Good for you for bringing this to our notice ,your friend has my love and support ,as do you my friend!

It's not me this time I swear!!! But I hope that whatever is going on comes to a halt and that the idiocy ends!

I, too, have seen too many good DS people tormented by trolls and false friends, or predators in general. these people need to take heed of your words. also, people need to remember this is a support site, for friendships, information, and emotional support. We are here to help one another, and share helpful information. Lately, in addition to the trolls, we have hadtrollers, questionable members who appear to be looking for dates. Not a problem if a two members connect, and want to meet, and take things to another level. I think anyone who posts a profile simply expressing a desire to find a date should be banned as well. I also feel there shold be some way to take legal action against those who come one and harass and attack other members with threats and rofanity.

I have never really had anyone say anything bad about my journals. I have had people just go away, and that is OK; but for others to sit in judgement or stalk someones journal is definately not OK. Judging is Gods job, I am not qualified, nor is anyone else on DS, and they should not presume to take that job. I think some people just enjoy being cruel. I am not sure why, I just know those people exist. If I can't be supportive, I just as soon stay to myself. I will pray that whoever this is does some soul searching, and a softening of their heart. Maybe someday they will need the support that others have so kindly provided. You have always been loving and supportive to me, and I just want you to know how absolutely appreciated and loved you are.

Thank you for being such a good friend to this person.I know she appreciates all you have done for her and I hope she has learned a lesson about whom to trust from now on.We forget that a lot of members here have mental illness and sometimes the only way to feel better about themselves is to lash out at each other.Please everyone,before accepting a new friend,read everything you can on them and even their friends because you might find they have lashed out at someone in the past.I know now to lock my journals and be cautious.I just with this person would have been less trusting.She might not have gotten attacked.
