Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)

I am a step-dad to three kids. I have been married to their mother for 8 years. Kids ages now are 18,17 and 15. I feel all I do is yell at them and they hate me. I want to be a better dad.

I got remarried to a mother of 3 kids. She has large amount of debt and I had large amount of debt from first marriage. No support from kids biological dad. I work 3 jobs and my wife works occasionally. Still living check to check.

used Genesis for awhile, didn't really get anywhere.

Filing for Bankruptcy Somewhat Helpful

worked, but did not include everything and was talked into keeping some debts. still in same boat.

Open Step Families

When I married my second wife, she already had 3 children from a prev. marriage. It took a while, but they soon accepted me and called me dad. 8 years later, we have had many problems and continue to have new ones as they are all teens.
