Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed a few years ago (mixed Bi-Polar Disorder) and have just committed to treatment (counseling, medication) recently. Trying very hard to deal, but it feels like I am failing. I just don't want to feel alone in this fight anymore. I hope that meeting other people with Bi-Polar disorder will help me, and I hope to also help others if I can.
Treatments
- Geodon Not Working
- I had terrible shaking, as if I could not control my nerves. I was taking off the medication after only trying it for 2 weeks.
- Lamictal Not Working
- I got a rash and had to be taken off the medication.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- I am currently on this medication and it helps me sleep at night. If I do not take it, I do NOT sleep at all. I may be dependent...not sure. It helps slow down the constant racing thoughts.
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- I was prescribed this about a week ago as I have been terribly depressed for some time now. I can not tell if it is working or not yet.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- I find writing out my thoughts and feelings assists in the control of my mood swings, but there are times where I do not feel as though it is working at all.
Close Single Parenting
I have been a single parent since the moment I realized I was pregnant. My son is now 6 years old and in the first grade. We are making it and have a very strong bond. However, there are times when it just hurts to be in a single parent situation.
