Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
My son, Jordan, now 13 years old, High Functioning Autism, ADHD, Obsessive compulsive disorder, verbal dyspraxia (much improved). Obsessed with Science and History. Gifted at maths.
Treatments
- Behavior Management Somewhat Helpful
- it just goes on and on and on... we get one behaviour sorted out, and a new one crops up. By the time we sort that out, the first one has started coming back!
- Patience Too Soon to Tell
- don't we all do this?????
- Pets Working / Worked
- Dog didn't work. Cat didn't work. But Rat! Who knew a rat would have such an impact!
- Picture / Word Schedules Somewhat Helpful
- Very dependent on predictable schedules, so any changes have to be clearly mapped out
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- Seems to be taking the edge off his emotional outbursts, but the Obsessive Compulsive behaviours have picked up.
Close Anxiety
I've recently developed anxiety issues as a spin off of long term depression - actually, it could be a side effect of the increase in meds. I have an Autistic son, plus 2 more kids. More annoyed by the anxiety than anything - used to being in control and this just hits me at the worst possible times.

Open Hives
I've had hayfever allergies for years, but the hives have only come on since the anxiety kicked in beginning of this year

My middle child, NIcholas, is 11 and unfortunately stuck between an Autistic older brother and a much younger only-girl sister - talk about middle child syndrome!!!
