About Me
I've been married for 3 years and we've been trying since the wedding night to have a child. I'm 32 years old and originally from Vancouver, BC (Canada) but currently living in South Carolina. We have a dog whom some would accuse me of treating like a child ;) Was working with the child protective services division of DSS, but decided to give that up for awhile to lessen the stress and to hopefully become successful at conceiving a child. I guess I was just trying to give us the best chance possible. But as we know, medicine can only take you so far...
Interests
We love to travel and see new things. We are also baseball fanatics so the start of the new season is always exciting ;)

Hi there! I am glad you are feeling good. I bet within the next couple of weeks, you're belly will just pop! We've been starting to get ready, which has been a lot of fun! We started on the room last week and I've been picking things up here and there for the nursery. I felt like the time was standing still in the Spring, but the past few months have just flown by! We have a few names that we both really like but have not narrowed it down to just one! We might wait to meet him first! I bet you are having a boy if that is what you feel. I totally believe in that instinct. Keep me posted on your appt. Can't wait to hear what you're having!

Yeah!! I am so happy for you! Isn't the heartbeat just the most amazing thing in the world? My pregnancy book says the baby is the size of a softball this week! It is so crazy how much growth happens in such a short period of time! Keep me posted on how things go with you. I hope you are feeling good! Have a great Memorial Day!

Close Infertility
Let me see...I'll try to summarize. We had been trying on our own for two and a half years with no success. We sought the help of a fertility specialist and had the usual battery of tests done: HSG, sperm motility/count, and various ultrasounds. All of which came back "normal." We were given the common diagnosis of "unexplained infertility." We have completed 3 unsuccessful IUI's (using injectibles and the HCG). We have now been recommended for IVF given our age.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- Folic Acid Too Soon to Tell
- Follistim Not Working
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Not Working
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Somewhat Helpful
- At least it was able to tell me that there were no "blockages." It was mildly uncomfortable, but definately not as bad as I had invisioned after the Dr's explanation!
- In Vitro Fertilization Too Soon to Tell
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Somewhat Helpful
- Progesterone Not Working
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
Was TTC for 4 years and underwent 3 failed IUI's and then finally our first IVF that worked! Currently 7 weeks pregnant with our first. I've never been pregnant before, and while I am just over the moon I find that I am PETRIFIED of a miscarriage. I try to get the thoughts out of my mind. As you can imagine, they are a bit of a kill joy, but it is SO difficult!
