Close Epilepsy & Seizures
I had a brain haemorrhage in 2004, and needed further coiling to my aneurysm in 2005. Unfortunately the surgeon overdid the coiling and caused a 2nd haemorrhage. I survived this (obviously!) but epilepsy was my booby-prize.
Treatments
- Dilantin Working / Worked
- Well, I haven't had any fits since the post-operative grand-mal seizure, but do occassionally have auras. The biggest problem it gives me is that my immune system isn't what it should be. I tried changing drugs once but had a terrible time. I have a new one to try, but am reluctant.
- Surgery, Brain Working / Worked
- Had a stent & coils fitted to fix a burst aneurysm (brain haemorrhage)
- Tegretol Not Working
- Tried & had to come off it as it didn't aggree with me
