Mum diagonosed a month ago now, she is being so brave, just getting to the hospital and back with agoraphobia must be hard but to be told you have breast cancer as well! I'd have fallen to peices by now but she has just found this strength from somewhere!
It was her pre operation check up today, lots of blood taking, x rays, swabs, she took it all in her stride and joked a lot too! I guess a sense of humour is useful when it comes to cancer.
Iv been to all her appoinments with her and been shocked by how well she has coped but I still cant help feeling protective over her. When we walk through the city center on our way home I find myself putting myself in the way of other people and Mum, Whats that about? Maybe I can protect her from other people but not from the cancer!
Well its all booked, 12 Nov the operation. An early morning got to be there at 7am! EArly night Sun! Im going to stay the whole time, I want to be there when the take her to theatre and when she wakes up.

My Ct Scan from March 07 refect no cancer, thank God, I continue my fight with cancer using Nexavar and the stomach …
I am so sorry for your mother. She sounds very strong though. My mom is like that (even though we havent gotten along lately) very strong and determined. She went through a horrible cancer of the uterus and almost bled to death during the operation but she is now cancer free and bitchy as ever.. lol.. Big hugs and prayers for you and your mom...
