Close Lupus
I have had bursitis in my joints since age 6, migraines since age 10 and many other symptoms. I had a miscarried and then had a TIA while pregnant with my son 10 yrs ago. I knew it was lupus all along when my joints ached, muscles hurt after spending summers at the beach, now that I have Pulmonary Emboli and a Brain Anuersym, and I tested positive for the lupus anticoagulant they finally agreed it is lupus, I knew that all along. Now I am on blood thinners facing a procedure for an aneursym.
Treatments
- Celebrex Working / Worked
- Cannot take anymore because I am using blood thinners
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- best medicine ever made for migraines, changed my life, now I don't have to be high all the time!
- Medrol Working / Worked
- Worked great for different instances of swollen joints
- Methotrexate Not Working
- too slow, really didn't like
- Mobic Working / Worked
- a little hard on stomach but great on reducing imflammation
- Plaquenil Not Working
- didn't do anything for me
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Best, but makes you too emotional
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Changed my life with my migraines, really keeps them under control, now I only get them occasionally at change of season and can use Imitrex
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I hope it's working. I don't want another PE as long as I live!
Close Pulmonary Embolism
Due to Lupus anticoagulant and Protien C defiency I have somehow wound up with a Pulmonary Embolism in each lung.
Treatments
Open Aneurysms
While in the Hospital for a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clots in Lung) Since I also have a malformation of Blood vessels in my lung called an AVM they decided to do a MRI on my brain and found an Anueurysm. I now have to go to a Vascular Surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hosp in Dec.
Open Scleroderma
