Bloody Martha Stewart to the rescue ~ get a few bowls and fill 'em with \/inegar and set them around inside, it'll absorb the odor, lookit the bright side, it could be catfish AND boiled cabbage, then you'd need to throw yourself through the hole in your balcony!
