Good morning my special and precious friend, how are you today? I just wanted to drop by with a big bunch of flowers and gazillions of hugs for you to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and that I thank you so much for our friendship. I am sorry I did not get on here yesterday, but was in so much pain I could not get out of bed, I am alittle bit better today though still in quite a bit of pain. my friend had the doctor out to me and they have given me something different for the pain so hopefully that will kick in and bring the pain levels down to a copable level again. Close Hyperthyroidism
Hyperthyroid. I have been dealing with this for a while. I am also one of the lucky few that actually gain weight instead of losing it.
Treatments
- Radioactive Iodine Considering
- Scared of irradiating my thyroid. Radiation is never a good thing. Can cause permanent damage to voice and I read it can cause cancer down the road.
- Surgery Considering
- Leaves a scar on neck, hard to hide. Can permanently damage voice, or damage voice box.
- Tapazole Working / Worked
- Back on Tapazole now. After 2 months I am back in the "normal" range.
Close Diets & Weight Maintenance
Overweight in part due to hyperthyroidism.
Treatments
- Counting Calories Somewhat Helpful
- I have Diet Power software to track calories and exercise.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. Buying any fat free choices were available.
- Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
- I have a treadmill, bike, and a Nordic Trak.
