He made it thru day 1 of chemo and radiation with flying colors!!! They sent us home with a chemo pump and he will receive 96 hours of continuous chemo and radiation 5 times a week for 6 weeks. We had about 10 inches of snow and just trudged thru it... no time for shoveling! I have wonderful neighbors that plowed our driveway 3 times in the last 24 hours. Thank God for the support of others!! I'm not whining or complaining... just writing down stuff so I don't forget!

so glad day one went well - this sounds just like what RM had (you can read my journal for all the ups and downs) - keep in mind they have wonderful meds for nausea (should he get it) RM didn't have any of the usual side effects except fatigue. However, he was not able to eat enough to survive even before they started treatment - he lived on nutrition through his feeding tube from mid June until mid October and still largely depends on liquids.
DO NOT expect this will be over any time soon - every time I start thinking I am SO SICK of having a sick husband I remember SICK is better than DEAD.
