Hi Sammy. Thank you so much for your I'm with you hug. Even though you sent your message back in January, I just received the message today. You were the first message I received. I can say I am making it. It's hard, but each month gets better. We will find out next week where my Brother is in his treatment...they stopped the therapy after his 3rd time in the hospital around March for a week for pneumonia. He is better now. We will find out his status next week. Even though I just got your I'm with you message, it means a lot--today was a hard day. My Brother was almost done with his therapy when he went into the hospital, we had 3 weeks left with him taking his Boost treatment when he had the last hospital stay. He takes the Chemo bag after his Chemo sessions every 20 or so days. He says he feels better, but don't know what to think of what's going on. I read your entries and pray that your husband is ok from the surgery (?). I also pray your Mother is ok as well. I definitely understand. As soon as one thing happens the other does. It's a roller coaster I never thought I would ride, much less be able to juggle. Sorry to ramble, my thoughts can be all over the place these days. Praying that you and yours are ok. LilSisInGa

Hi Sammy! What a lot you've been through recently. My prayers to you, your husband and your mom. I read your journal on the nursing home treatment, that is horrible they would actually suggest you hire someone to do the job they are being paid for! Hugs, Gina

the J tube is easy - glad things went well - Rusty really didn't have any major problems. If he has nausea - they have a pill for that. I had Rusty rinsing his mouth out several times a day with baking soda/water to prevent mouth sores - he never had any - seems like it was 2 tablespoons per 8 oz water. Now the PICC line (in his arm) for the chemo was not fun - he had two connections and the one that had nothing connected to it had to get fluid injected every 24 hours to prevent blood clots. He had that for over 2 months and with it in his arm he couldn't do it - I had to do it and I know I made him nervous every nite when it was time to do that. I am so glad your hubby is getting treatment before surgery. From what I have read, more people beat this cancer if they get chemo and/or radiation before surgery. Hugs, Carolyn
