I'm really starting to get worried. I got my fisrt "regular" period after losing Shane on the first. Two weeks later its still here. Is this normal? Its really red, almost burgundey, and heavy like after the d&c. My fiancee and i went very careful and my aunt just told me that i may have gotten preganat again and miscarried. I really hope thats not it. It did take me a little over 6 weeks to get my period back but my ob said thats normal. Come to think of it i did have some light spotting about 2 weeks before i got my period (i had implantion bleeding with all my pregnancies). Irvin, my fiancee, and I are going to the hospital as soon as my aunt gets back so she can watch our daughter. If anyone went through anything like this please let me know. Thanks

Sorry I don't have any advice for you. My OB said it could take up to 8 wks to get my period after the m/c, so I guess that is normal. But I never had any implantation bleeding with any of my pregnancies. I hope everything is okay. I'll be thinking of you.

I havn't miscarried but I was told that you can bleed quite a bit after you miscarry when you do eventually get your period again

When I got my first period after my d&c I bled so bad and so heavy I was admitted to the e.r. only for my dr. to find that it was just my first period..I would actually stand up and have puddles of blood at my feet, thats how bad it was..In the end my dr. suggested the depo shot to help control the bleeding and it worked wonders..hope this helps you
