    About Me

I'm 32 years old. I (used to)work and go to school full time. I live with my fiance - we got engaged on NYE. We have a cat named Rocky (our son) and after we get married later this year, we hope to add some human children to the family. I just added the "used to" to the first sentence because I have been out of work for a while and have had to take time off from school because of endo.

    Interests

    Reading, cooking/baking, music.

    • Close Endometriosis

First found out I had endometriosis when I was 16. Got Lupron injections and have been more or less pain free for the last 16 years - at least until about 2 months ago. I had a laporotomy this week and some scar tissue was removed. Lupron has been recommended again. I also found out that my fallopian tubes are essentially completely blocked, so getting pregnant the "normal" way is out of the question.

      Treatments

      Aygestin Too Soon to Tell
I had taken it for almost 2 months then stopped. Just starting again.
      HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
Had it done while having a laoporotomy. Discovered that both tubes are blocked.
      Lupron Not Working
It did work for me 16 years ago, but horrible side effects. I started it again in November -- was on for 4 months and it didn't do a thing -- no hormone supression.
      Surgery Somewhat Helpful
I had one 16 years ago - nothing removed. Had another last October and some scar tissue removed. I think it just confirmed it was endo again - I haven't had any pain relief since the surgery.
      Zoladex Too Soon to Tell
Just got first injection last week. I'll be getting it along with Lupron injections.
    • Close Infertility
      Type: Tubal Issues

I found out I through HSG (while having a laporotomy for endo) that both of my tubes are blocked. Looks like IVF will be the only possibility for me to have a child. I'm kinda freaking out right now...

      Treatments

      HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
Found out my tubes were blocked. Had it during a lap, but I've heard the "normal" procedure is painful.
      In Vitro Fertilization Considering
I'll have to consider this in the future...
