Have had the flu/bronchaitis for two weeks, ugg.  Think it's my operation that's why I'm not getting effect from the antibiotics. 

Wow, what a year!!!! Just put my 89 year old mother who had been living in a nice apartment on her own into a new full care facitily! She had fallen, broken her ankle, had an operation, lived through it, but mentally decided she was an invalid!  So we had to look for full time care places that are not hell holes. Do you know how many rotten places there are.  We found a place for $4800 a month (she has money, we don't) and it's fabulous.  It physically looks and is decorated like the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas (I'm not kidding)it has a dining room with full menu like a restaurant, a theater, a library, two huge patios, a huge lobby, a poolroom, and a special "circle of friends room" that takes new people and has new "friends" take them to all meals, become friends, do activities that keep their minds sharp and keep them from isolating themselves.  These good places do exist.  What a rollercoaster year. My operation, my husband's open heart, my mother's ankle in 2 places and moving her. whew!  I could use a little rest.  I'm down to about 142. For me, that's normal, Imay try for 132 as my face, inevetable is chubby.  I don't know if I'll look even older, though.
