About Me
.Single (divorced) mother of three teens-16, 18 and 19 soon to be 20. I enjoy riding, own one horse. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a chinchilla and a gecko and some fish. I have had issues from and abusive childhood and depression and had a pulmonary embolism back in Oct. 2007, my horse spooked, reared and I went off, 3 weeks later spent 6 days in the hospital with the clot in the right lung, just where I landed. I am totally recovered from that and have been riding (trail riding) again. also like bike riding and in line skating. I enjoy books and bookstores and libraries. I love nature.
Interests
.I enjoy my horse, he is a rescue. I enjoy books and bookstores and libraries, coffee shops, and being outside. I love nature . I have a good job and great kids.

Close Pulmonary Embolism
I had a PE Oct. 17, did not have a DVT though.Off work for 3 weeks, now recovering and have lots of anxiety about this.Never even knew what a PE was .Scared about it happening again, looking for support from others on information and sharing thoughts and feelings.

Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been on andtidepressants and anti anxiety for 10 years and have been through many different meds. I am divorced, now a single mom of 3 teens, and am happy to say that I have broken the chain of abuse that my sister and I experienced when we were children, from our mother. I feel like the depression stems from that, have been in therapy and Adult Children group. Really helped. I don't think you can go it alone without additional people help. I am looking for advice and support.

- Celexa Working / Worked
- worked for about a year, peaked out and changed to Lexapro
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Just started this in June. I think it really helps the additional physical aches and pains. I have lost 12 lbs, which is ok by me, really cuts out the appetitie and cravings. I find it more difficult to select food, due to nausea sometimes just thinking about food.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Worked for awhile. A friend told me ,"pop a bowl of popcorn and go to bed for the movie" because I had wierd, intense dreams at night. Also lost weight from it, but was excercising as well. Peaked out and changed to Celexa.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Worked well for awhile, nothing dramatic. Just peaked out after a year, changed to Celexa.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Try to remain positive, but slip down that slope often. I feel that I have a positive attitude with my kids and at work, although there is lots of negative energy there, from a bully, and makes it a challange when I am down or tired.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- This was my first antidepressant. Worked well, spent alot of time adjusting the dose. Lost weight. Was scolded by a NP that the goal was not weight lose, said some med students took it to lose weight, ??? Peaked out on it and went to Effexor.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Really helped, dealing with child abuse from my mother and I am a mother, but I broke the chain!!!!
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- I pretty much keep to myself about this, I have 3 good friends who have depression too, we support each other. Adult Children group really helped at the beginning of this journey.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Taking it now, due to insurance taking the generic, which is still expensive, so far so good.
Open Migraine Headaches
I have been getting migraines for the last 5 years and recently had one every weekend for a month...

- sometimes it does not work after taking 6 total in 24 hours
Open Widows & Widowers
I am dating a widower of 7 months. We are very close and love each other, and I am doing all I can not to push him and to be there for him when he needs my support.
