      I was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis at age 9 (s curve, left lumbar, right thorasic primary) and tracked through 9th grade. I participated on swim teams through highschool to avoid the brace and did nothing in college. At age 25 with my left ribs compressing into one another, I was in constant pain and sought help with a chiro. The chiro saw me for a few sessions and then handed me a fistful of business cards of alternative practitioners (the Rolfer answered the phone). I am now a Rolfer.

      Treatments

      Yoga Working / Worked
      Yoga ( when done correctly for your condition) helps to loosen the tightness on both the concave and convex sides and strengthens and balances the musculature bilaterally. I have gained flexibility, strength, better balance, stamina, and grace from the practice of Iyengar Yoga.
