About Me
I AM NOW 60, I WILL BE MARRIED 25 YEARS ON APRIL 23-O8, I HAVE 3 SONS, ED, 38, GREG SR. 36, AND RICH 24. ALL THE BOYS LIVE WITH IN 100 MILES OF US. MY HUSBAND DON AND I LIVE IN A SMALL VILLAGE OF A LITTLE OVER 700. I HAVE ONE SISTER YOUNGER THAN ME NAMED PATTY. DON COMES FROM A LARGE FAMILY 6 OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS, HOW EVER 2 BROTHERS NOW ARE DECEASED. BOTH OF US ARE RETIRED. HOWEVER DON WORKS 7 DAYS A WEEK WITH SEVERAL PAPER ROUTES, AND I AM AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR PART TIME. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME, IT IS ABOUT MY "NEW" SISTER THAT I NOW HAVE. WE MET ON DAILY STRENGTH AND I FLEW OUT TO SEE HER. SHE IS THE SWEETEST PERSON. WE LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH. I JUST ACQUIRED ANOTHER "NEW" SISTER FROM DAILY STRENGTH. THANK THE LORD.

CHURCH, CROCHETING, READING, SUMMER ACTIVITIES, LIKE WEINER KRAUT DAY IN WATERLOO, OUR CORN ROAST, SKI SHOWS, CAR RACES, AND JUST CHILLIN OUT WITH MY HUSBAND, AND SOMETIMES WITH MY SISTERS AND BROTHER IN LAWS AND FAMILIES. WITH OUR MIDDLE SON AND YOUNGEST SON AND THEIR WIVES AND FAMILIES.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I have colitis, and Crohn's Disease. I have had this for over 20 years. I used to be ashamed because I wear Assurance Diapers, but not anymore. When your colon lets loose, it lets loose and you have no control over this. I am not ashamed anymore and I even tell people the "bulge" in my slacks is my diaper. They either accept it, or walk away. No loss to me, as I do what I have to do.
Open Osteoporosis
I have had osteoporosis for many years. Last year I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. My left ankle has been destroyed since 8th grade, when my nasty gym teacher made me run for over 8 blocks and I fell on my ankle. By the time I got to go to the doctor with it, my ankle was damaged beyond repair. I now have an empty pocket in side the bone, and there are days I can not walk on it, and it throbs like a toothache( thank God I don't have them no more though).

Open Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 4 years ago after I had a very bad incident with my boss at work, at the time. He would humuliate me so bad in front of co-workers and or customers. I finally quit, but by that time it was too late. I still have flashbacks from the experiences of him shaking his finger right up my nose and saying "do you see how fast she is, if you don't start doing better I will fire you." I worked there for 7 years hearing that day after day.

Last year I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. My shoulders hurt most of the time. Some days I can not even pick up a gallon of milk.

- This takes the pain away. I also get a good nights sleep too.
Open Diabetes Type 2
I have been a diabetic now for 11 years but was only diagnosed 8 years ago. I am on insulin now since January. I fought my doctor for 6 months just because I was afraid of the needle. I had to take 2 training sessions, but after the 1st one, I came home gave myself the shot, why it was a piece of cake. Don't know why I fought the doctor. I also take pills too.
