Close Heart Attack
Hi, I started having chest and arm cramps( I later discovered this was Angina) I was sat in the house, then I started to get heartburn, it got worse and was from my stomach leading up into my jaw. I realised this was not just cramps so I called 999 for an ambulance.It was when I was actually in the hospital emergency room that I had my heart attack, I was given a thromolyte drug to bust the clot, then 5 days later I had a stent fitted in my right coronory artery. Next day I was sent home
Treatments
- Angiogram Working / Worked
- nothing much to describe, I was taken into the theatre, lay on a table and had a tube inserted through my wrist, they fed this through to my heart then injected some sort of dye into my bloodstream, they found the damaged/blocked artery and fitted a stent.
- Aspirin Working / Worked
- I take 15mg tab a day to thin blood
- Oxygen Working / Worked
- I had this in the ambulance and for a short while in hospital
- Stents Working / Worked
- seems to be working as I have not had any pains or angina since this was fitted
- Zocor Working / Worked
- I take 40mg at night to lower my cholestrol, its working fine as my count was 10.6 before the heart attack, now it's 4.3
- Valium Working / Worked
- I take 15mg a day to help with my depression, works ok
Close Depression
I started having depression about 15 years ago in 1992, I was given Prozac, that worked a first but I think I got immune to it as the depression got worse, I went through a whole list of SSRI's but they all didn't work for me, In the end they put me on 30mg of Mitrazapine about 6 months ago, this ones seems great as I feel much better now.
