Ok...Well....I am back from my Vacation to Vancouver White Rock with an old friend who now lives there. We...friend, sister and i, had soo much fun. We went over the border one day into the beautiful United States. It always seems so much greener and fresher than in Canada...well..the grass is always greener over there anyway i guess !! I must say the border guards were soo nice both ways. We actually spent quite a bit more than the allowable amount ant they let us through with no demands for tax !
We went shopping...i found shoes that FIT...quite unusual as i am tall with huge ones...feet i mean...and some bargains at the factory outlet place. We didn't do anything really exciting though...just hung out together and did lots of chatting and reminiscing. We all shared a flat together when we were single and got up to lots of goofy stuff !!!
Then a week later i returned home to find my suitcase hadn't travelled on the same plane as me ..the thing must have a mind of it's own. Anyway...it finally arrived, brought to my door (60 miles from airport ) by a special man whose job it is to deliver errant luggage to their owners.
My hub seemed really pleased to have me back. Was more affectionate than usual. I think he missed having someone to cook etc for him. It makes them appreciate one when one isn't there for a while ! I think i should do it more often !
Now we are getting ready for winter. Already there is a chill in the air and the leaves are turning golden and red. We will harvest the garden next week and i have already made beet pickles...yummy !
Even though i haven't written much lately i have been keeping an eye on all of you. Happy for all of you whose life is going well and hoping and praying that life will improve for the others.
Much love to All...
Sheila xoxo
